The procedures involved in dental prophylaxis, aimed at preventing the occurrence of dental problems:
- scaling;
- professional brushing;
- identification of early caries;
- sealing ditches and pits;
- dental fluoridation;
It’s highly recommended to have a dental consultation twice a year, even though the patient thinks he has no dental problems. Some dental conditions show signs that only a dentist can identify.
